However, in rare cases, the agent may cause a fatal condition known as propofol infusion syndrome (PRIS).Case Report We present a case of PRIS that could have been fatal in a previously healthy male patient with multiple gunshot wounds.Conclusion Because patients typically exhibit other potentially fatal comorbidities, PRIS is always a diagnosis of exclusion. The true incidence of PRIS remains unknown, and more objective criteria for its diagnosis need to be established.
