Images from "De Novo Immunoglobulin A Vasculitis Following Exposure to SARS-CoV-2 Immunization" (doi: 10.31486/toj.21.0083) show the clinical manifestations of immunoglobulin A vasculitis. The upper image shows a palpable purpuric rash on the patient's lower extremities that developed 2 weeks after he received the first dose of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 mRNA vaccine (BNT162b2, Pfizer, Inc). The lower image shows the rash largely resolved after 2 weeks of oral corticosteroids. Microscopic images from kidney biopsy pathology report show glomerular hematuria characterized by acanthocytes.
