23rd Annual New Orleans Internal Medicine Board Review

This board review is designed for internists as a comprehensive review of internal medicine. It is primarily a preparation for taking the American Board of Internal Medicine Certification and Re-Certification Examinations or as a review and update for Board-Certified physicians. This conference is targeted to all physicians and providers interested in learning about the emerging domains where Information Technology affects physician practices. Topics include a session on office electronic medical records, office order entry, and use of the Internet for patient communication, physician consultations, medical information and practice management. One session will address information systems that improve patient safety and decrease medical errors. The conference will also provide tools and strategies to help transform healthcare operations, maintain HIPAA compliance, and simplify claims and prescription and referral processes.
