Quality of life and associations with health-related behaviours among older adults with increased cardiovascular risk
2022, Nutrition, Metabolism and Cardiovascular DiseasesCitation Excerpt :The present study found weak associations between QoL and dietary factors, which differs from previously reported studies [15,16]. Both active and passive smoking have been negatively associated with QoL, with improvement in scores after quitting observed in both longitudinal and cross-sectional studies [12,13,27]. Consistent with these previous findings, current smoking was negatively associated with QoL in the present study and maintained significance even after adjusting for possible confounders.
