Andrew W. Gottschalk, MD, originally from the northern forests of Michigan, trained in sports medicine at Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. After residency and fellowship, he made a name for himself in NCAA Division I circles as team physician for the St. Bonaventure University Bonnies. Dr. Gottschalk currently serves as the Head Medical Team Physician for the New Orleans Pelicans and Team Physician for the New Orleans Saints. Dr. Gottschalk is the Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine for Ochsner Health and Medical Director of Ochsner Fitness Centers. He is the Sports Medicine Editor for Ochsner Journal. Dr. Gottschalk’s wife, Ryanne Clarke, MSN, FNP-C, APRN, is the Chief Clinical Officer of Priority Health Care of New Orleans. Dr. Gottschalk is pictured with their daughter Campbell.
